Located in the heart of Changchun's automotive industry development, the new plant will cover an area of approximately 39,500 square metres when completed. The construction of the plant will be carried out in two phases, with the first phase of the 16,000 square metre plant already completed and fully operational, with an annual production capacity of approximately 200,000 EV battery cases.

It is reported that this is Magna in China to participate in the Chinese battery shell project, to support Magna to accelerate the strategic deployment and business expansion, in order to cope with the rapid development of China's new energy vehicle market.
