A new electric vehicle manufactured in Ningbo has officially hit the market.
Recently, the Geely Galaxy TT, produced at Geely’s Zeekr Chunxiao Factory in Beilun, Ningbo, was officially launched.
As a strategic model designed to reshape the premium C-segment pure electric sports sedan market under the Geely Galaxy brand, the Galaxy TT offers consumers a new option for high-value, all-electric mobility.
The Zeekr Chunxiao Factory is an important production base supporting Geely Group’s transition toward new energy vehicles. Covering approximately 1,100 mu (about 73 hectares), the factory features four major production processes: stamping, body welding, painting and final assembly. Its welding workshop has achieved 100% automation, while the facility is capable of producing ICE, hybrid and pure electric vehicles on the same production lines.
The factory has previously produced popular Zeekr new energy models such as the Zeekr MIX and Zeekr 8X, building extensive experience in high-end new energy vehicle manufacturing. The production of the Galaxy TT further demonstrates the factory’s capabilities in flexible and intelligent manufacturing.
The launch of the Galaxy TT is a vivid example of the accelerating development of Beilun’s new energy vehicle industry cluster.
As an important hub for Ningbo’s automotive industry, Beilun is now home to 185 above-designated-size automotive manufacturing enterprises. In the first half of this year, the output value of these enterprises reached RMB 124.08 billion, up 75.6% year on year, making the automotive industry an important driver of regional industrial growth.
Beilun has also developed a complete industrial chain covering automotive components and key new energy vehicle systems. Products from companies such as Tuopu, Haitian and FEVISA, as well as Jifeng, have entered the supply chains of major global vehicle models, covering areas including chassis structural components, power systems and seat assemblies.
To address key challenges in the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry, Beilun has leveraged its value-added government service reform to launch a comprehensive “one-stop” service program for the NEV industrial chain since 2024. The initiative integrates value-added services covering policies, projects, technological innovation, talent, finance, legal affairs, international cooperation and free trade.
At the same time, relevant government departments have been actively assisting enterprises in applying for higher-level special programs aimed at strengthening and completing the new energy vehicle industrial chain. They have also organized companies to participate in industrial matchmaking events and conducted policy briefings, providing an efficient platform for collaboration across the supply chain and supporting the high-quality development of more enterprises.
