November 18, Beijing — The Exchange and Promotion Conference on Industrialization Application and Quality Improvement of Domestic Automotive Chips under the "Quality Strengthening the Industry Chain" initiative was held. The event summarized phased achievements of the project and officially launched the upgraded "Automotive Chip Certification and Evaluation Technical System 2.0." Simultaneously, a domestic automotive chip certification expert database and a digital certification platform were introduced. These advancements mark critical progress in establishing China’s independent quality assurance system for automotive chips.
The "Quality Strengthening the Industry Chain" initiative, led by the State Administration for Market Regulation, represents a strategic effort to boost the high-quality development of China’s automotive chip industry. The project has transitioned from preliminary exploration to systematic implementation and from technical research to industrial validation. By establishing a comprehensive certification framework, breaking through key standards, and building digital platforms, it addresses the challenges of "reluctance and difficulty in adoption" faced by domestic automotive chips, overcoming industrialization bottlenecks through an innovative technical system tailored to China’s industrial realities.
The conference emphasized the need to continuously upgrade the technical system, accelerate the construction of certification centers, deepen international cooperation and standards mutual recognition, and expand domestic chips' application in broader markets. These efforts aim to further advance China’s goals of becoming a manufacturing and quality powerhouse.
