Chinese company Rox Motor officially enters the Russian car market. Thus, Li Auto may have a rather strong competitor in our country, the main advantage of which will be the official status with warranty and service, writes the portal "Chinese cars".

Rox Motor is a young company founded in 2021 by the CEO of a large manufacturer of robotic hoovers Roborock. Rox Motor initially focused on creating autonomous driving systems, and then the company decided to enter the hybrid car segment. Together with several companies, Rox Motor developed its own hybrid crossover called 01. The Italian design studio Pininfarina was responsible for the exterior of the car, and the model was produced by the manufacturer BAW. In China, where this model is presented under the brand Jishi (English name - Polestones), deliveries of cars to customers began in November last year.

Vadim Li, Executive Director of KaiHe, the distributor of Rox, told Chinese Cars about Rox Motor's plans to officially enter the Russian market. According to him, already now the process of registration of OTCS for the SUV with index 01 has begun, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2024. Currently, the company is searching for partners to create a dealer network, and is also engaged in the translation of the multimedia system of the Rox Motor 01 crossover into Russian. As for the cost of the cars, according to preliminary data, it will be more than 7 million rubles. The full-size crossover Rox Motor 01 (Jishi 01 / Polestones 01) offers two variants of interior layout.

The initial version is available in a 6-seat version (2+2+2), and its dimensions are 5050 x 1980 x 1869 mm with a wheelbase of 3010 mm. The larger 7-seat version (2+2+3) increases the length of the car to 5295 mm. According to Vadim Lee, now work is underway to create a version of the Rox Motor 01 SUV for the Russian market with a more popular 2+3+2 layout.

Rox Motor 01 exterior design is made in the spirit of Land Rover Defender and received deliberately severe wide wheel arches, high bonnet line, massive grille and flat roof line. T-shaped LED headlights, blacked-out pillars and retractable door handles complete the image. The Rox Motor 01 SUV is equipped with a powertrain designed as a series hybrid. It is driven exclusively by electric motors with a total output of 476 hp, while the 1.5-litre internal combustion engine under the bonnet acts as a generator, charging the battery. The battery has a capacity of 56 kWh, which provides 235 kilometres of range without the petrol engine, as well as 1,338 kilometres of range in "mixed" mode.
