Recently, Shanghai Jiading Waigang Town and multinational auto parts giant Valeo Group (Valeo) reached a strategic cooperation and signed a contract. The project is located in Block 17-06, No. 2005, Waigang Town, with Huixian Road in the east, Huifu Road in the south, land boundary in the west and Qianmen Tang in the north. The planned area is about 30,000 square meters, and the total construction area is about 58,600 square meters.

Valeo Group will build a new "Comfort and driver assistance system production and development base" in Waigang Industrial Park, which mainly includes the development and production of autonomous driving cameras, liDAR, domain controllers, chip binding and other projects. The project is divided into two phases with a total investment of about 2.9 billion yuan. The project is scheduled to start in the middle of the year, with an annual output value of about 4 billion yuan.

As one of the world's top ten auto parts suppliers, Valeo Group entered China in 1994 and has core technologies and leadership in the fields of vision systems, assisted driving, powertrain and thermal systems. Valeo China is now Valeo's largest single market in terms of employees and sales. Headquartered in Shanghai, the factory in Waigang Town is an important production base for its comfortable driver assistance systems.
