Dongxing City of Guangxi is the only port city connecting China and Vietnam by sea and land, and is only one river away from Mong Jie City, the largest special economic zone in northern Vietnam. It is an important gateway city for the Vietnamese market and the ASEAN market in China.

Since the beginning of this year, the state has entrusted Dongxing City with the mission and task of building the China-Asean industrial cooperation Zone "Guangxi Dongxing Industrial Park", establishing the bilateral cross-border industrial chain and supply chain cooperation mechanism between China and ASEAN, and accelerating the construction of cross-border industrial cooperation demonstration park along the border.

In order to fully implement the major deployment of the Party Central Committee and The State Council on strengthening industrial cooperation and development with ASEAN countries, on December 15, 2023, the Administrative Committee of Guangxi Dongxing National Key Development and Opening Pilot Zone was the organizer, and the Liaison Office of Fangchenggang Municipal People's Government in Yangtze River Delta Investment Promotion and Dongxing Municipal People's Government were the organizers. Ningbo Western Chamber of Commerce Organization Alliance and Ningbo Renhe E-commerce Industrial Park Co., Ltd. successfully held a special promotion meeting for Guangxi Dongxing Industrial Park in Fangchenggang Area of China-Asean Industrial Cooperation Zone at Howard Johnson Hotel.

Ningbo auto parts industry Shenglong, Dezhou precision, Torch Feng, Chuan Tuo and other more than 10 companies in charge attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Chen Jianlin, deputy director of the Management Committee of Guangxi Dongxing National Key Development and Opening Pilot Zone, and Li Ruoyang, deputy mayor of Dongxing Municipal People's Government, delivered speeches successively. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to the leaders and guests present. They introduced the location advantages, industrial layout and future planning of Dongxing City and Dongxing Pilot Zone, and Dongxing is speeding up the construction of coastal international double channel, domestic and international double circulation, and creating a convenient market operation and dual integration land. Chen Jiajia, deputy director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Fangchenggang City, introduced the investment environment of Fangchenggang City, with an annual output of 15 million tons of steel, 2 million tons of alumina and 520,000 tons of refined copper. We will focus on reinforcing, extending and strengthening chains in steel, aluminum and copper industries, and introduce new forms of industry such as new energy vehicles, construction machinery and offshore equipment. Wang Yongzhong, director of Dongxing City Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the investment cooperation project of Dongxing Industrial Park in Fangchenggang Area of China-Asean Industrial Cooperation Zone. Dongxing Industrial Park focuses on the direction of die-casting integration of chassis system of new energy vehicles, closely grasping the opportunity of Vietnam's layout and development of electric vehicle industry in Quang Ninh Province, and lays out new energy vehicle parts and accessories industry in Dongxing. Build a new energy auto parts industrial cluster for ASEAN; Huang Xiyou, director of the Investment and Trade Department of Guangxi Dongxing Border Deep Processing Industrial Park Development Co., LTD., introduced the investment cooperation project of Dongxing Border deep Processing Industrial Park. Dongxing Border Industrial Park plans to introduce new energy materials industry by relying on the advantages of Guangxi's automobile industry and the industrial chain of Fangcheng Port steel, copper, aluminum and other advantages.

Wang Hong, secretary-general of Ningbo Auto Parts Industry Association, made a report on the theme of the linkage development of China-Asean Industrial Cooperation Zone and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. He shared with the guests the present situation, advantages and problems of Ningbo's economic development and industrial development, as well as cooperation opportunities with Dongxing City and suggestions on investment promotion. Ningbo automobile and parts development so far, the output value accounted for nearly half of Zhejiang Province, but also faced with rapid industrial development and upgrading, traditional enterprises are threatened; Big differences in regional policies and unbalanced development; The number of universities is small, the shortage of leading talents and other problems. In terms of the development opportunities of the automobile industry and Dongxing District, due to the large demand for auto maintenance parts in Southeast Asia, we can focus on parts trade and production, take into account OEM, and meet the needs of the OEM and aftermarket in Vietnam. For the exhibitors, I hope to use the Chamber of Commerce as a platform and the Dongxing government to take the lead in sharing local resources in Ningbo.

At the meeting, Li Yongping, president of Europe Ningbo General Chamber of Commerce and chairman of Meilin Holdings Group Co., LTD., shared the experience of market-oriented development and construction of "Two countries, two Parks" international cooperation park. In the exchange, the relevant person in charge gave answers to the questions and consultations of the guests.
